Glen Barbeau Glen has lived in Toronto (in the former East York) his entire life and currently lives in Riverdale. As a long-time member of Culture Shock Toronto (CSTO), he brings enthusiasm, dedication, and creativity to the troupe. He has been thriving as the new Marketing Co-director, and has helped CSTO connect with many projects across the city. Dance has always been a part of his life: Glen was a student at Canada's National Ballet School (NBS) for three years, and learned classical, modern, and cultural dance forms before discovering hip hop. After he left NBS, he was trying to find a way to keep dance in his life when a friend brought him to a CSTO class. He’s been going every Sunday since. CSTO has given Glen many opportunities to grow as a hip hop dancer, instructor, friend, and as an individual. He will continue to use what Culture Shock has taught him in his career as a teacher in order to bring dance to his students and school. He is very proud of the dancers in his extracurricular dance crew, the G. A. Brown Middle School Dance Squad, and of CSTO’s many accomplishments. |
